Road Accident Involving Multiple Vehicles in Gegharkunik Province: Injuries Reported
On March 30, a road accident occurred in Gegharkunik Province. At around 12:50 PM, vehicles collided on the 14.8 km section of the Sevan-Martuni-Geghatp road. The vehicles involved were a 34 CD 530 Opel Astra driven by 37-year-old Vardan Aleyan from Martuni city, a 99 GD 919 Mitsubishi Grandis driven by 39-year-old Hrachik Gasparyan from Yerevan, and a 10 RA 808 Mercedes driven by 30-year-old Artak Avetisyan from the village of Tsaghkashen in Gegharkunik Province. As a result of the collision, the Mercedes veered off the roadway and ended up in a ravine, causing its wheel to become detached.
According to Shamshyan.com, as a result of the accident, driver A. Avetisyan and his passenger, 27-year-old Zohrap Avetisyan, who is also from the same village, sustained bodily injuries and were taken to Gavar Medical Center.
Reports indicate that there was black ice on the road at the time of the accident.
