Blocked and Difficult Roads in Armenia

The Ministry of Emergency Situations informs that as of March 21, 5:00 PM, there are blocked and difficult roads in the territory of Armenia.

The Vardenyats Pass is closed only for freight vehicles.

The Sotk-Karvachar highway is difficult for passage only for freight vehicles.

In Goris city of Syunik province and in the area known as "Meghri Mountain," there is fog.

Drivers are advised to travel exclusively with winter tires.

According to the information received from the Department of Roads of the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia, the Stepantsminda-Lars road is open for all types of vehicles.

Construction Works Underway

Construction work is ongoing on the Vanadzor-Alaverdi highway, from the 39th km to the Bagratashen area.

Alternative routes for transport traffic have been established as follows:

Internal transportation to the cities of Alaverdi, Vanadzor, and nearby settlements should be conducted via the following route:

1. Vanadzor-Stepanavan-Agarak-Koghes-Aygehart-Odzun-Alaverdi through road segments towards the Georgian border.
