Director Who Came to School with Police Mediation Dismissed from Position

The Investigative Committee of the Republic of Armenia has discussed the requests addressed to the Governor of Armavir Region, Hambardzum Matevosyan, regarding the directors of the "Aygevan M. Khorenatsi Secondary School" and the "Lenughu Jivanu Secondary School" during consultations held with the governor.

The Armavir regional administration informs that as a result of these discussions, the directors of the aforementioned schools submitted their resignations to Governor Hambardzum Matevosyan, and he has relieved them of their positions accordingly.

It is noteworthy that for six consecutive days, the secondary school in the village of Avshar in the Ararat region has been in a state of strike and protests. Former member of Yerevan City Council, Sona Agekyan, had also reported that the director of the Avshar school was coming to school with police mediation.
