Car Accident at Zvartnots Airport Junction: One Injured

On March 18, a major chain-reaction car accident occurred in Yerevan. Around 9:00 PM, vehicles including a Ford with license plate 75 VM 555, an Opel Astra with license plate 35 ZC 903, a Toyota Camry with license plate 18 LA 888, and a Mercedes with license plate 36 AN 528 collided at the junction of the Yerevan-Armaravir highway near Zvartnots Airport.

According to shamshyan.com, as a result of the accident, one person was rescued from the car with the help of citizens and was taken to the Vagarshapat Medical Center. Rescuers deactivated the vehicles, shut off the gas tanks, and cordoned off the area. Three of the cars were flattened into scrap metal, and preliminary information suggests that the Toyota Camry and Mercedes were parked at the time of the collision, which occurred between the Mercedes and the Ford.

Authorities are preparing materials regarding the incident. The police are identifying the drivers and the injured party.
