Georgia Presents Details of Gas Supply Agreement with Gazprom to Armenia
The Deputy Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia, Natia Turnava, has presented details of the gas transit agreement with the Russian company Gazprom regarding the supply of gas to Armenia through Georgian territory.
According to Sputnik-Georgia, the Georgian side has achieved certain successes. Turnava noted that the cost of transit has increased, while the cost of purchasing Russian gas has decreased. “This is if private businesses are interested in that alternative,” the deputy minister stated.
As for the prices, Turnava did not specify them. “I can’t mention numbers. That is the essence of commercial confidentiality—to avoid stating specific figures, but I am talking about the dynamics, which in both cases is in our favor,” she emphasized.
