Criminal Case Opened After Incident Involving Narek Malyan and Restart Members
A criminal case has been initiated regarding the incident that took place last night on Amiryan Street between Narek Malyan and members of the Restart group, under Article 258, Part 3, Clause 1 of the RA Criminal Code (hooliganism committed by a group of persons or an organized group).
This was reported by the Armenian Time, referencing the press service of the RA Police.
The incident occurred near 18 Amiryan Street in Yerevan. Members of Restart attempted to throw garbage bins at Narek Malyan, an action that was prevented by police officers present on the scene.
After the incident, the Restart members were taken in for questioning; Narek Malyan was also invited to the police station. All parties involved are now at liberty.
Narek Malyan himself reported the assault on his Facebook page last night, indicating that he too was taken to the police station.
