Car Fell into Tandzut River, Injured Reported

On March 3, at 17:42, the «911» service received a call regarding a traffic accident on the Lora highway in Vanadzor, Lori Province. A vehicle had gone off the road and fallen into the river; emergency assistance was needed.

A fire-rescue unit from the Ministry of Emergency Situations and an operational group from the regional rescue administration headed to the scene.

It was determined that a «Mercedes Benz» (driver: M. M., born in 1985) had gone off the roadway near house number 1 on the Lora highway and fell into the Tandzut River from the bridge.

Rescuers brought the driver and passenger A. T. (born in 1982) to the ambulance on a stretcher. Both were hospitalized at the Vanadzor Medical Center, where doctors assessed their health condition as satisfactory.

The rescuers disabled the vehicle and closed the gas cylinder valve.
