KAMAZ Truck Topples Trees and Rolls Over Into the Arpa River

A serious traffic accident occurred in the Vayots Dzor region. Today, around 20:50, a resident of the Syunik region, 53-year-old Homeros Badalyan was driving his KAMAZ-5511 truck with license plate 88 MA 878 on the 145 km section of the Yerevan-Meghri highway, in the administrative area of Vayk, when he crossed into the opposite lane, collided with thick-bole trees, uprooted them, and rolled over into the Arpa River.

According to photojournalist Gagik Shamshyan from the scene, the driver sustained bodily injuries. He was first assisted by citizens and Vayk’s fire and rescue personnel, then transported to the Vayk medical center.
