Updated: Closed Roads in the Republic due to Snowfall
The Ministry of Emergency Situations reports that as of February 28 at 08:40, there are closed and difficult-to-pass roads within the territory of Armenia.
The Vardenyats Pass is closed.
The Dilijan turns are closed for trucks.
The Sotk-Karvachar road is difficult to navigate.
There are patches of black ice in the Spitak turns.
Snowfall has been observed in the regions of Ani, Amasia, Artik, and Akhuryan in Shirak Province, as well as in the provinces of Aragatsotn, Lori, Kotayk, Ararat, Armavir, and Gegharkunik (except for the town of Vardenis), the Dilijan turns, and in the town of Jermuk in Vayots Dzor Province.
Fog has been reported in Lori Province.
Drivers are advised to travel only with winter tires.
