Prime Minister's Assistant and Vardan Zadoyan Injured in Hit-and-Run Incident
Yesterday, members of the Union of Armenians of the World, Vardan Zadoyan and Artak Gasparyan, who is the assistant to the Prime Minister and a friend of Yerevan Mayor Hayk Marutyan, were involved in an accident, according to Hraparak.am.
It turned out that the accident was a hit-and-run; Zadoyan and Gasparyan were struck by a vehicle while walking on the street, which later took them to the hospital after the incident.
“We were walking on foot, and they ran us over,” Zadoyan told the news outlet.
The incident occurred near the Meragelyan Institute’s fountain, with the vehicle hitting them while reversing.
Both have sustained injuries and fractures and are currently in the hospital.
