Conscripts With Health Issues Sent to Army, Discharged Early in Worse Condition - HCA
Conscripts who were called up for military service despite health issues, have been discharged under worsening conditions with the support of the Helsinki Citizen's Assembly Vanadzor office. Soldier Armen Tadevosyan, who underwent two surgeries during his military service, was discharged months after being conscripted.
Armen Tadevosyan was deemed fit for military service despite numerous health problems and was called up during the summer conscription of 2018. Following his conscription, he was transferred to a military hospital. Although medical documents indicated that Tadevosyan’s health issues required urgent resolution, according to information provided by his father, the examinations he underwent were merely formal, and he was only scheduled for a planned surgery instead of receiving urgent care.
Reviewing the overall data revealed that there were pathologies in the venous system of the left hemisphere. There was at least a moderate impairment of blood circulation and the functioning of organs or limbs, and certain examinations had recorded a deterioration in his health condition.
