Fatal Hit-and-Run in Yerevan
On February 19, a fatal hit-and-run incident occurred in Yerevan.
According to shamshyan.com, around 7:30 PM, 36-year-old Bagrat Galstyan, a resident of the Ararat province, struck a pedestrian crossing the road at an unauthorized section with his Mercedes vehicle, license plate number 35 NV 629.
The driver did not flee the scene and attempted to assist the victim; however, the pedestrian succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
A criminal case has been initiated under Article 242, Part 2 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Armenia, which pertains to a traffic accident resulting in death due to negligence.
