Head of Dilijan Social Services Territorial Agency Arrested

On February 8, the investigator of the Tavush Regional Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of Armenia submitted a request to the Tavush Regional Court of General Jurisdiction to impose a two-month pre-trial detention on 51-year-old Samvel Davtyan.

As reported by shamshyan.com, Judge Samvel Mardanyan held a closed court session, and upon returning from the consultation room, granted the investigator's request, applying a two-month detention as a preventive measure against S. Davtyan. According to the site’s information, S. Davtyan serves as the head of the Dilijan Social Services Territorial Agency under the Tavush Regional Governor’s Office.
