Updated: Fog on Goris-Kapan Highway

The Ministry of Emergency Situations informs that as of February 3, at 22:00, there are closed and difficult-to-navigate roads in the territory of Armenia.

The Vardenyats Pass is closed for trucks with trailers (due to snowstorm) and difficult to navigate for passenger cars.

The Sotk-Karvachar highway is also difficult to navigate.

There are patches of black ice on the roads in the Aragatsotn region, specifically on the Gyumri-Spitak and Maralik-Lanjik (6-10 km) highways, as well as on the Goris-Sisian stretch in the Syunik region, particularly in the areas known as “Zanger” and “Meghru Sar.”

Fog is present on the Goris-Kapan highway.

Drivers are advised to travel exclusively with winter tires.

According to information received from the Road Department of the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia, the Stepantsminda-Lars highway is open for all types of vehicles.

According to information from the Department of Emergency Situations of the Republic of North Ossetia, there are accumulated trucks on the Russian side.
