Armenia Will Not Respond to Nagorno-Karabakh Compromise Questions Until Azerbaijan Does, Says Pashinyan

The Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia, Nikol Pashinyan, while meeting with representatives of the local Armenian community in Cologne, addressed questions regarding potential compromises in the resolution of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.

According to a report from Germany by an Armenpress correspondent, the Prime Minister stated, "I have repeatedly declared from the podium of the National Assembly that we are being asked whether we are ready for compromises. But who said that we are the primary subject answering this question? Why does no one ask Azerbaijan if they are ready for compromises? Therefore, I have publicly stated several times that we will not respond to this question as long as Azerbaijan does not respond."

The Prime Minister also addressed the information that occasionally appears on social media and in the press suggesting that Armenia is being pressured over the resolution of the Nagorno-Karabakh issue. "One day I invited Foreign Minister Zohrab Mnatsakanyan and asked, can it be that we are being pressured and we are not aware? Because it seems that the least informed people in Armenia about the developments regarding Artsakh are us—myself and then Mr. Foreign Minister," joked Pashinyan while denying the authenticity of such reports.
