Possibility of Revising Gas Prices, Says Tigran Avinyan

Negotiations regarding the subsidies for gas prices will clarify how much "Gazprom Armenia" will subsidize the gas price. This was stated by the Vice Prime Minister of Armenia, Tigran Avinyan, during a conversation with journalists today.

In his opinion, revising the internal consumption gas prices is possible. Avinyan responded to the question about the current phase of negotiations with "Gazprom" and how the increasing gas prices would be subsidized to prevent a hike in gas tariffs for consumers.

"There are various components that form the averaged internal gas price for consumers, and through optimizing those components, recalculating, re-assessing, and reviewing losses, there are different indicators that need revision. I believe we will find specific points where that revision is possible," he stated.

He also informed that negotiations with "Gazprom" are ongoing, and they will provide updates as soon as new information is available.
