Melanya Harutyunyan Appointed as Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan's Press Secretary
Melanya Harutyunyan, the press secretary of the Prime Minister, has made the following post on Facebook: “Dear citizens, colleagues, esteemed journalists and representatives of mass media, as of today, by the decision of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia, Nikol Pashinyan, I assume the duties of the press secretary of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia. I thank Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan for trusting me with this responsible job.
Public communication is one of the most important components of public governance. I am confident that work based on mutual respect, professional responsibility, and constructive cooperation with journalists and representatives of mass media will contribute to the full and timely informing of the public, as well as to open, effective, and trustworthy communication for the benefit of the Republic of Armenia and our citizens.
I am aware of the responsibility of the mission entrusted to me and I will devote all my energy to carry it out diligently and with dignity. I serve the Republic of Armenia.”
It should be noted that today Nikol Pashinyan signed a decision appointing Melanya Harutyunyan as press secretary of the Prime Minister. “Guided by Article 9, part 10 of the Law on Public Service, Melanya Harutyunyan is appointed as the Prime Minister's press secretary,” the decision text states.
