30 People Dead in Haiti Due to Stampede
At least 30 people have died as a result of a stampede caused by crowd pressure at a popular tourist site in northern Haiti. The information was relayed by sources from the rescue services.
The incident occurred in the area of the Laferiere Fortress, which is considered one of the country’s most visited landmarks. According to available data, the event took place on Saturday.
It has been noted that the tragedy happened during annual celebrations at the entrance of the fortress, where a large number of people had gathered. The Laferiere Fortress is included in the UNESCO World Heritage List.
