Pope Francis Calls for Immediate Cessation of Violence and Just Struggle for Peace
Pope Francis has called for an expansion of dialogue in light of recent events in Iran and Syria, as well as an intensification of efforts to achieve peace in Ukraine. This was reported by the APA news agency.
According to him, only through ongoing communication and mutual understanding can the existing crises be overcome. Addressing the situation in Ukraine, the Pope highlighted the mass attacks on the country's energy infrastructure, noting that they are occurring in the midst of a severe winter.
He stated that for the civilian population, this means a struggle for survival in darkness and cold. Pope Francis reiterated his plea to 'immediately halt violence and engage in a just struggle for peace.'
