The President of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, and his wife, Cilia Flores, were injured during a kidnapping attempt. This was announced by Venezuela's Minister of the Interior, Diosdado Cabello, who provided official details about the incident.
According to Cabello, Cilia Flores sustained a head injury and multiple blows to various parts of her body, while President Maduro was injured in the leg. The minister did not disclose any further details regarding the circumstances of the incident.
Cabello's statement was broadcast on Venezuela's Telesur television channel.
