Flights Cancelled or Delayed Across Several European Countries
Heavy snowfall in various European countries has disrupted the operations of airlines. In several airports, flights have either been cancelled or delayed. The situation is particularly challenging in the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, and France.
In France, due to snowfall and icy conditions, authorities have declared an orange alert in 26 departments. In some regions, between the western coast and Île-de-France, up to 15 cm of snow is expected. Due to the weather conditions, the French Civil Aviation Authority has requested airlines to reduce flights from Paris by 15%.
Disruptions to air travel are also ongoing in the Netherlands. At Amsterdam's Schiphol Airport, KLM has cancelled at least 300 flights for Tuesday.
