Gold Price Experiences Sharp Decline
The trading session on December 25 at the NYMEX revealed significant fluctuations in the prices of gold, silver, and platinum. Gold prices decreased by 0.05%, settling at $4480.60 per troy ounce, while silver prices saw an increase of 0.77%, reaching $71.03. In contrast, platinum prices fell sharply by 4.85%, priced at $2247.80.
All prices are measured in troy ounces (31.1 grams). The New York Mercantile Exchange (NYMEX) is a prominent American futures exchange where trading continues across two main segments: NYMEX for oil, gas, platinum, palladium, ethanol, coal, electricity, and carbon dioxide emissions, and COMEX for gold, silver, copper, and aluminum.
