What Lukashenko Suggested to Trump Before Meeting with Putin
In an interview with American Newsmax TV, Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko stated that he advised U.S. President Donald Trump to reach an agreement with Russia to halt the conflict in Ukraine ahead of the upcoming Russia-U.S. summit in Alaska.
Lukashenko noted that during a phone call with the White House in August, he warned Trump about the necessity of preparing for hard work, as a quick solution would not be possible.
He added that he supports Trump’s position, which involves establishing a ceasefire based on the current realities, namely, the existing results of the conflict.
