False Information Circulates Again, Says Prime Minister's Spokesperson
The OdaTV website has circulated false information once again, and several Armenian media outlets have hastily replicated this fake news without any minimal verification or source validation, inadvertently participating in the chain of misinformation. This was stated by Nazeli Baghdasaryan, the spokesperson for the Prime Minister of Armenia, on her Facebook page.
It is an old and worn-out scenario where external sources create completely false and provocative stories, and certain domestic actors immediately spread them, attempting to shape a field of distrust and new polarization within society. It is evident that as the electoral processes approach, so too will the intensification of disinformation attacks directed against Armenia's statehood, state institutions, and public officials.
