Truck Drivers' Protests Continue, Government Promises Solutions
Protests by truck drivers continue in Armenia. Some participants are advocating for actions that, according to law enforcement agencies, not only fail to contribute to solving the issue but could also lead to economic losses and inconveniences for other citizens.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs reports that the matter is consistently under the government’s attention. The government has already begun negotiations with Russian counterparts to resolve the problem. The topic was also discussed at the recent meeting of the Eurasian Economic Council.
According to reports, the Russian side has assured that it understands the urgency of the issue and has already put into circulation a draft legislation that could address the situation.
The police of the Ministry of Internal Affairs call upon protest participants to abide by the law and respect the rights of other citizens, avoiding actions that may disrupt public order or economic activity.
