Trump: Zelensky is not innocent; considering sanctions and tariffs against Ukraine
U.S. President Donald Trump has made several new statements regarding the Russia-Ukraine war. According to APA, he specifically discussed the possibility of imposing sanctions and tariffs not only against Russia but also against Ukraine.
“Zelensky is not innocent. It takes two to tango,” Trump said, adding that he currently has a good relationship with the Ukrainian president.
“Every week, thousands of people are dying, mainly young people. If I can prevent that by imposing sanctions or applying tariffs, it will be the end of seven wars,” Trump noted.
Trump also stated that he will try to organize a meeting between Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin.
