This is Business: Peskov on New US Scheme for Supplying Weapons to Ukraine
Dmitry Peskov, the press secretary of the President of the Russian Federation, has stated that the new US scheme for supplying weapons to Ukraine is a matter of business. This information was reported by RIA Novosti.
“This is business. There have been supplies in the past as well. No one has stopped them. The question is who is paying for them,” Peskov said, responding to a journalist’s question about how the Kremlin views US President Donald Trump’s decision to sell weapons to Europe so they can supply them to Ukraine.
US President Donald Trump, who has frequently criticized his predecessor Joe Biden for providing multibillion-dollar military assistance to Ukraine, announced on Monday a new program for supplying weapons to Ukraine through NATO allies.
He stated that the United States will sell billions of dollars worth of weapons, including missiles, air defense systems, and ammunition, to European countries, which will then deliver them to Ukraine and replenish their stocks with new purchases from American manufacturers.
Trump emphasized that the scheme is fully coordinated and will be implemented in the near future using the resources of NATO countries.
