The Issue of Prisoners is a Painful Matter: Mirzoyan
The issue of prisoners and illegally detained individuals, as well as humanitarian issues in general, constitutes an important and painful part of the broader agenda. This was stated by Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan.
According to him, this is probably one of the few issues where conversations have failed to occur at all. He noted, "The last tangible discussion took place within the framework of COP 29, and since then, discussions have certainly happened, but they have not been successful. I believe that if we manage to have a definitive, real, signed agreement, and we move forward with the delimitation process, then we will come to a declaration regarding the unblocking of infrastructures, and real resolutions will happen that will advance our opportunities. We are confident that at least more favorable conditions will arise for solving these issues."
