Protest in Kasakh: Car Drives onto Sidewalk Amid Road Blockade
The Yerevan-Ashtarak highway is currently closed. Residents of the village of Kasakh have taken to the streets in a protest, demanding the reinstatement of route 59, which connected Kasakh with Yerevan.
One vehicle drove onto the sidewalk in an attempt to bypass the protesters blocking the road. In response to a journalist’s observation that this violated traffic rules, a protester replied, “Dear girl, I’m burying an old man, can you let me pass?”
Earlier, we reported that the residents of Kasakh have periodically attempted to block the Yerevan-Ashtarak highway.
