800 Billion Euro Aid for Ukraine: European Commission Developing New Program
The European Commission proposes to create a new instrument that will significantly accelerate and increase military assistance to Ukraine, announced Ursula von der Leyen.
She suggested an EU rearmament program with a budget of 800 billion euros. Approximately 150 billion euros will be provided as credit to Ukraine for air defense measures and arms production.
The European Commission also aims to increase the defense spending of European countries by 1.5% of GDP to ensure the planned measures can be implemented.
