No Agreement to Lose Territories – Zelensky
Ukraine is not ready to sign a ceasefire agreement that would result in the loss of territories. This was stated by Volodymyr Zelensky in an interview with The Guardian.
“Such an agreement could lead to tensions in the future. Russia has declared that the territories it has seized belong to it, but for Ukraine, this will always be a temporary occupation. Countries supporting Ukraine understand that if the conflict ends in a way that Kyiv does not consider acceptable, people will want to restore justice over time,” he said.
Zelensky also added that they do not want what has never belonged to them. “We are preparing to present a common statement in Europe, where we will clearly express our positions regarding the borders we aim to reach and the principles on which we cannot compromise,” said the President of Ukraine.
