Facebook and Instagram Must Comply with Russian Laws: Peskov
Facebook and Instagram must comply with Russian laws in order to reopen in Russia, stated Dmitry Peskov, the press secretary for the Russian president.
It is noteworthy that Instagram and Facebook, owned by the American company Meta, have been recognized as extremist in Russia.
Peskov indicated that, unlike these social networks, there are no grounds for prohibiting the X social network. “No matter how much we trust Americans, that does not exempt anyone from following Russian laws. In reality, these companies should not even expect that trust will be restored; they must comply with the laws and return to Russia,” he stated.
