New Changes in Transport Packages
During a session of the Yerevan Council, changes to the draft concerning transport packages were discussed, presented by Deputy Mayor Suren Grigoryan.
According to the changes, privileged tickets will also be provided to pensioners who do not have local registration in Yerevan. Children with disabilities will also have the right to travel for free (previously, only individuals with 1st or 2nd group disabilities could, while children were categorized differently).
Citizens registered in Yerevan who have four or more children will also have the opportunity to travel for free, regardless of the children's ages.
The transport packages for 1-day and 7-day tickets will now allow unlimited trips, while the validity period of the ticket that allows three trips within 90 minutes will extend to 180 minutes. The deadline for obtaining a 10-trip ticket for 1500 drams will be extended from 30 days to 45 days.
The Yerevan Council accepted the draft decision concerning the benefits of the transport ticket system with 33 votes in favor and 17 abstentions. The changes will take effect from March 1st.
