Roads Closed in Armenia

The Rescue Service informs that there are closed roads in the territory of Armenia.

In the Aragatsotn region, the roads leading from the "Amberd" high mountain meteorological station to the Kari Lake and Amberd Fortress are closed.

The Vardenyats Pass is accessible for freight transport only with the use of tire chains.

In the high-altitude areas of the Syunik region and along the Yerevan-Sevan highway, there is black ice in places.

According to information received from the Georgian Ministry of Internal Affairs' Emergency Department and the Crisis Management Center of the Russian Federation's Ministry of Emergency Situations in North Ossetia, the Stepantsminda-Lars highway is open for all types of vehicles.

Drivers are advised to travel exclusively with winter tires.
