Severe Flooding in Brazil Causes Numerous Casualties and Missing Persons
Severe flooding has struck Brazil due to heavy rainfall. The São Paulo metro has been inundated, and the ceiling of a shopping center has collapsed. The city is currently under a high alert status, according to reports from CNN.
In São Paulo, at least 179,000 residents are without electricity. In southern Brazil, the floods have already claimed 96 lives, leaving 1.5 million people homeless. There are 131 individuals reported missing and 362 injured.
