Delaying These Issues is Risky Ahead of Planned Travel: Announcement
The Migration and Citizenship Service urges individuals to plan their travel document transactions in advance if they are considering crossing borders in the coming months.
“In particular, it is important to pay attention to the validity period of the document, the notes on the pages to ensure there are free pages for border stamps, and to ensure that the document is not worn or damaged. Delaying these issues is risky ahead of planned travel and may lead to crowding at service offices,” the statement reads.
It also reminds that the queue management system has changed, and currently services are provided both electronically and in person in Yerevan and the regions. Registrations are carried out through the migration.e-gov.am platform. Citizens with appointments are served on a priority basis at their selected time, while those who take a ticket on-site are served at the next available window.
Furthermore, it is reminded that the Armenian citizen's passport is issued on the 5th working day after the application is submitted and, in case of loss, on the 10th working day. The state fee is 1,000 drams.
The government has also established expedited timelines for passport replacement and offers fast-track services:
- 1 working day - 20,000 drams (available in Yerevan)
- 3 working days - 10,000 drams
- In case of loss:
- 1 working day - 60,000 drams
- 3 working days - 50,000 drams
- 5 working days - 40,000 drams
