Currently, There Is No Means to Intercept the 'Oreshnik' Missile, Says Putin
Currently, there is no countermeasure against the 'Oreshnik' missile system. This was stated by Russian President Vladimir Putin. As reported by РИА Новости, the Russian leader held a meeting on Friday evening with the leadership of the Ministry of Defense and representatives from the defense industry.
“At present, there is no countermeasure in the world against such a missile, nor any means to intercept it. And once again, I emphasize that we will continue testing this advanced system. It is necessary to establish mass production. We will consider the decision on mass production of this system to be made,” said the head of state.
Addressing Russia's security, Putin stated that Russians should know that “there is a huge technological base, a powerful industrial and scientific support to ensure the country’s security.”
