The Constitutional Court of Georgia Registers President's Lawsuit

The lawsuit was filed on November 19 and is related to violations that occurred during the parliamentary elections held in October. It will be discussed by the plenary session, which includes all nine members of the Constitutional Court.

It is noteworthy that Georgia's parliamentary elections took place on October 26. The ruling party, 'Georgian Dream,' officially won with nearly 54 percent of the votes. Four other opposition parties also surpassed the 5 percent threshold. However, they have all refused to recognize the election results and enter parliament. The president has also stated that the election results were falsified. The opposition is conducting protests.
