Aliyev and Erdogan Hold Closed-Door Meeting
During the 29th Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change held in Baku, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan met. The meeting was closed to the media.
Participants from the Turkish side included Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan, the chief foreign policy and security advisor to the president, Akif Kilic, and the head of the president's Public Relations Department, Fahrettin Altun.
It was noted that during the negotiations, the leaders confirmed their intention to elevate bilateral relations to a higher level. Erdogan also thanked Aliyev for hosting COP-29.
