A Referendum Should Be Held in Armenia: Askerov
Armenia continues to obstruct the signing of a peace agreement. This was stated by the Deputy Speaker of Azerbaijan's Milli Majlis, Ziyafet Askerov.
He announced that it is necessary to remove "territorial claims against Azerbaijan from the Armenian Constitution" in order to sign a peace agreement.
“A referendum must be held in Armenia to sign this agreement. We are signing a contract not with Pashinyan, but with the Armenian state. The political opinion of the Armenian people should be behind this agreement,” he stated.
