The death toll from Typhoon Yagi in Vietnam has reached 143, according to reports from AFP citing local government data. Additionally, 58 people are considered missing.
Thousands of residents in the capital of Vietnam were evacuated on Wednesday as the waters of the Red River flooded the streets following heavy rainfall.
The Ministry of Agriculture announced that the adverse weather conditions have destroyed approximately 210,000 hectares of crops, with more than 700 people affected.
Typhoon Yagi struck Southeast Asia on September 1st, resulting in deaths in the Philippines, China, and Hong Kong as well.
