Will Emmanuel Macron Visit Armenia? 'Joghour' Reports
According to well-informed sources from the French-Armenian community, it is highly likely that French President Emmanuel Macron will visit Armenia on September 21, Independence Day. Our information suggests that the details of his visit are currently being discussed, reports the newspaper 'Joghour'.
“With this move, Macron aims to emphasize that he stands alongside a free, sovereign, and independent Armenia. His visit also has another purpose: to prove that he is one of the few megaleaders fighting for the independence of the Republic of Armenia,” the article states.
It is worth noting that on June 1, 2021, then Acting Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan was received by President Emmanuel Macron during a working visit to Paris. During this meeting, Pashinyan stated that Macron was “expected in Yerevan in the autumn of 2021.” However, that visit never took place,” according to the 'Joghour' newspaper.
