Lukashenko Proposes Legal Punishment for Threats Against Presidents
Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko has proposed amendments to the country's Criminal Code.
The changes would allow for punishment of those who issue threats of violence against current and former presidents.
The text of the proposed amendment has already been published on the official website, and accordingly, the article stipulates a prison sentence of up to 8 years.
