Belarusian Foreign Ministry Issues Statement
The Belarusian Foreign Ministry has issued a statement regarding the destruction of aerial targets in southern Belarus, which were likely flying from Ukraine.
"Due to the flight of a drone from Ukraine, Belarus is initiating consultations with allies, partners, and international organizations. Kyiv is provoking tensions against Minsk under the influence of external known players. The incident related to the drone flight from Ukraine fundamentally escalates the situation and poses a dangerous attempt to broaden the conflict in the region. Belarus will fully exercise its right to self-defense and respond to any provocations or hostile actions," the statement from the ministry read.
Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko also stated, "I intend to personally address the 'tense situation' created at the border with Ukraine."
