Mamikon Aslanyan's Restraint Measure Changed
Mamikon Aslanyan's restraint measure has been changed. This was reported by human rights defender Ruben Melikyan.
“After 2 years and 7 months of incarceration, political prisoner Mamikon Aslanyan's restraint measure has been altered. By court decision, he will be released on a bail of 10 million drams,” Melikyan wrote.
Aslanyan had been in custody since December 2021. He is accused of illegally alienating lands in Vanadzor through the preparation of forged documents during his term in office. Charges have also been brought against his two subordinates—a lawyer and the chief architect of the community.
