Why the U.S. Has Suspended Aid to Georgia
The United States has suspended aid to Georgia following the indefinite postponement of the Noble Partner 2024 military exercises. This was announced by Uzra Zeya, the U.S. Assistant Secretary of State for Civilian Security, Democracy, and Human Rights.
The reason for this decision is the adoption of the 'foreign agents' law in Georgia. 'As a result of this law, the United States has suspended aid to Georgia. And integration with the European Union is also not taking place,' Zeya stated, without specifying what kind of aid was being referred to.
