We Do Not Have Special Hopes or Illusions in This Regard: Peskov
Russia does not have high hopes for improving relations with France based on the results of parliamentary elections in the country. This was stated by Dmitry Peskov, the press secretary of the Russian President, while responding to a question from TASS about whether the Kremlin prefers a victory for leftist forces in France over a victory for rightist forces.
“For Russia, it is undoubtedly better for political forces that will support the restoration of our bilateral relations to win, but so far we have not seen any pronounced political will from anyone. We do not have special hopes or illusions,” said the Kremlin representative.
