VIDEO: If You Don't Want Loans in Your Name, Listen: Samvel Martirosyan
Media expert Samvel Martirosyan has reported that fraud is being spread through phone calls. “A new wave has begun. They call you in very nice Armenian, claiming to be from your bank or electronic wallet. You may see that you are being called from your bank because the phone numbers are spoofed. They say you are facing a problem, that some criminals are taking out loans in your account. They state that a code will be sent shortly, which you should provide. In reality, the caller is the one taking out the loan. They gather essential information from the person and secure the loan,” Martirosyan warned.
The media expert urged everyone to remember that no bank or financial institution requests a password from a client.
