Iran's Ambassador in Armenia Discusses Azerbaijani Threats
The Iranian Ambassador to Armenia, Mehdi Sobhani, addressed Azerbaijani threats during a conversation with journalists, emphasizing that the language of threats is unacceptable.
“If countries express a desire for peace, they should not speak in a language of threats. As for the nature of cooperation with Armenia, this depends on the leadership of Armenia. We have expressed our willingness to cooperate with Armenia at any level based on mutual agreements and understandings,” the ambassador stated.
The ambassador also added that Iran's political stance towards Armenia is principled. “We respect the territorial integrity of the Republic of Armenia, and we are against any changes to internationally recognized borders and geopolitical changes. This principled approach will never change, regardless of who comes to power in Iran and Armenia. Armenia is a very important country for us and a good, honest neighbor,” the ambassador said.
