Son of Spitak Haiko to Remain Free, Lawyer States
The well-known singer Haik Ghevondyan, also known as Spitak Haiko, will have his son, Hratchya Ghevondyan, remain free. This was announced by lawyer Erik Aleksanyan on his Facebook page.
“Hratchya Ghevondyan will continue to remain free as the appellate court (Judge Marine Melkonyan) has just rejected the prosecutor's appeal,” wrote Aleksanyan.
It is important to note that Hratchya Ghevondyan was arrested on May 22 on charges of “preparing to seize power.” Following the arrest, a request was made for his detention; however, the court rejected the investigator's request due to a lack of sufficient evidence for reasonable suspicion, and on May 23, Hratchya Ghevondyan was released from the courtroom.
